Happy New Year!

ASA is ready for another great year of sailing. While our goals are to continue to promote sailing around the world through our schools, affiliates, and partners, our efforts in 2020 will focus on attracting new sailors to our lifestyle. In 2020 ASA will reach out to families that want to learn to sail together. ASA will highlight and promote young sailors and the need to foster a new generation to our sport. Along with our campaigns to encourage environmental responsibility while on the water, ASA will continue to attract more women to sailing as well as we work to increase diversity across the sailing community. In 2020 expect to hear about ASA family-friendly flotillas, teen programs that promote the sailing lifestyle and ASA-sponsored events that get more people out on the water via charters, education, and social events.

NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS

Happy New Year! You know what that means, this is the year that you will be productive and resolve to do everything you have ever wanted to do. We are sailors so no resolutions about losing weight or reading more or even being nicer to your in-laws. Instead, sailors make sailing resolutions and we are destined to finally make a New Year’s resolution list that we will adhere to.

Benefits of Kids Sailing
KIDS
If you need a good reason to introduce your kids to sailing we have a few. They’ll learn responsibility, leadership, and discipline but more importantly, they’ll love being out on the water.

Arabella in the BVI
ARABELLA
It’s the middle of January and you may be suffering from the winter blues but a group of ASA members is sailing on Arabella in the British Virgin Islands. You might be a bit envious when you see what they are up to right about now.

SAILING VACATION
Considering a sailing vacation is often just a far off fantasy for plenty but once you obtain the confidence through your sailing education it feels like a charter boat is that much closer to becoming a reality.
