ASA students rave about Sailing Made Easy. The official book of ASA 101 Basic Keelboat Sailing is a must for any person interested in the lifestyle of sailing. Sailing Made Easy helps the new sailor discover the language of sailing while explaining the techniques and critical aspects of learning to skipper a sloop-rigged keelboat of approximately 20 to 27 feet in length by day in light to moderate winds (up to 15 knots) and sea conditions.
To supplement the text, ASA has produced a series of video shorts that clearly demonstrate key concepts from the book. New and seasoned sailors alike can learn a thing or two from these Sailing Made Easy video tips. From the proper way to raise the main to powering up with the slot effect advantage, even salty dogs will find some new nuggets of information in these succinct videos. The best part is this sailing content is free!
