Why Choose Port of Call Charts School?

Our diverse, Ft Myers Beach and Sanibel Island waters are the perfect sub-tropical jade blue sailing waters unmatched for training. Our ASA instructor ratings are awesome! We achieve that by providing great coaches, access to outstanding training waters, and proper vessels for learning.

Our classes are small, and we can customize the training time to best meet your sailing goals. Whether it is to help lessen anxiety, enhance skills, buy a boat, or a learning vacation…no problem, all courses include the vessel, the instructor.

Our classes are small and all hands-on. The ‘classroom’ is on the boat! Starting from the intercoastal waterway between Ft Myers Beach and the mainland in the Mantanzas Pass home to dolphins, sea turtles and manatees.

Your classroom training grounds will be the Jade blue waters off Sanibel Island and Fort Myers Beach. This is where we prepare students for the beginners, we start on a 27′ tiller small keel boat as you advance, you’ll move up to 45’ Jeanneau the “Plan B” 3 cabin 2 head twin wheel excellent vessel to learn coastal cruising and BareBoat certifications.

This area of operations has it all; one can walk to beach side resorts, excellent waterfront restaurants with live entertainment. Allows you the opportunity to decompress and enjoy more than just the sailing. Our efforts are to offer more than an ASA certification, but more as a lifetime of yacht chartering and yacht ownership. Years of training sailors from 8 to 85 years old, we offer a wide range of ASA Certifications, including ASA 101 through 114 Cruising Catamaran. We work with you to ensure we exceed your expectations. Give us a call to begin planning your sail training!

Proprietor Captain Scott: I love the saltwater sailing, sport fishing or boating. I enjoy the water. I earned my Master Captains License USCG 100-ton license while in the Coast Guard, as a former USCG AUX officer of Public Education I worked up the ranks to Commander of Flotilla 9-10 Ft Myers Cape Coral.  The perfect day would be going out to the Gulf of Mexico to catch some good wind and enjoy a great day sail enjoying the sun, sea and crystal clear waters. That’s what I call that “a great day”! I am an ASA instructor training basic Keelboat, Coastal Cruising and Bareboat Cruising and Catamaran sailboats, I’ve sailed to and from Tampa Bay to BVI and USVI where I have spent the pre covid years teaching sailing and charters so sharpen skill sets, computer applications and a believer in lifelong learning.
