Located on San Juan Island in one of the most beautiful archipelagos in the United States, Griffin Bay Adventures is perfectly situated to offer sail and power training against a backdrop of stunning northwest beauty. Our classes are crafted to our students needs and interests. If you’re looking to charter or you are ready to sail off into the sunset GBA can get you there. We offer everything from bareboat cruising certification on liveaboard courses to advanced coastal sail training and even ocean passage-making opportunities. Our instructors are full time mariners. They are professional racers, delivery captains, rescue boat captains, tug boat skippers and experienced world cruisers.

Our primary inshore sail training vessel is a 2012 Jeanneau 409 Sun Odyssey and our offshore sail training vessel is a fully equipped blue water Cal 40. We also offer blue water crossing and offshore passage-making adventures aboard a Santa Cruz 50.

Every year we deliver yachts all over the world and if we are not offering a course on one of these deliveries we are making crew positions available for GBA alumni to build their miles.
