Established in 2008, the Hong Kong Catamaran Club (CATA) was the first ASA affiliate sailing school in Hong Kong.  Sea sports are possible in Hong Kong year-round, as the wind and weather are mild, and we have clear sandy beaches for swimming and deep water sailing. CATA has trained 20+ sailing instructors and almost 800 students from local, Mainland China, Asia, Europe and USA, aged 13 to 75 from the basic course through to the advanced. CATA offers seven sailing courses on a regular basis, i.e. ASA101, 103, 104, 105, 106, and 114; to meet your desired dates, with a minimum of 2 candidates.  You will enjoy the fun of learning sailing and meanwhile get yourself certified.

CATA is one of a very few ASA affiliated sailing schools offering these courses in East Asia, and therefore we attract many international would-be sailors and Mainland Chinese joined our courses, due to our continuing professionalism and sound reputation. Our instructors have extensive experience and are from UK and Hong Kong. CATA can conduct courses in English, Cantonese or Mandarin Chinese. CATA also provides English and Chinese notes and examinations.

We use French Beneteau 21.7 for the sailing lessons program of ASA101, French Beneteau Oceanis 34 for ASA103.  For ASA104, we use Beneteau Oceanis 34 or air conditioning Jeanneau SO44I.  Students will learn to sail in South Hong Kong Waters.
