Bluenose Sailing School is a premier sailing school focused on teaching essential sailing skills, building confidence, and fostering a lifelong love of sailing. We are committed to providing the highest standards of curriculum, safety, and positive learning experiences. We use well-maintained, late-model boats, and well-qualified and personable ASA-certified instructors.

We are a cruising oriented sailing school. We do not teach you to go fast, we embrace the tranquil aspects of sailing focusing on safety, boat handling, and keeping the drama out of boating. Our 12 instructors all have extensive sailing experience, and most have cruised up and down the intracoastal waterway and beyond.

Considered by many to be the sailing capital of the world, Newport-Jamestown offers unsurpassed sailing conditions on Narragansett Bay. Sailors in training enjoy their beautiful surroundings while cruising scenic Newport Harbor and the many lovely harbors throughout the Bay.
