We’re the ’boutique’ school, and since 1968, we’ve been giving you MORE of what you go to sailing school for!
We offer courses from Basic to Bareboat and beyond. Coastal Navigation 105 is offered all winter, and our fun and comprehensive Start Sailing courses (ASA 101) as well as cruising courses resume in the spring.
Our unique location in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn gives you everything you need to succeed. Whether you’re learning how to sail or progressing afterward, you get reliable sea breezes, milder summer temps, gentle currents, and nearly none of the thunderstorm delays that affect the rest of the region. Enjoy the best sailing conditions in the NYC and Tri State areas – all easily accessed by public transit or car!
Need to step it up a notch? Take our cruising courses locally this coming season (103-106), or Coastal Nav 105. Want to vacation while doing it? Join one of our instructional sailing vacations in the Caribbean or Mediterranean. There’s no ‘off’ season!
Plus, we KEEP you sailing and progressing: no need to own a boat! We’re located at a welcoming, inclusive cooperative whose mission is simply to encourage sailing. Join the sailing club program and just go sailing. And, there’s also a large fleet of private boats you can expect invites aboard to do day and evening sails, or even race! If you ever become a boat owner yourself, you’ll be welcome to join the fleet.
Browse our web site; check out our reviews and history. See some pics and clips of our students in action, including broadcast and cable features of our program. You’ll learn why you can’t get a better education – or value – anywhere else!
