NotesAssociate Sailing Instructor. We're an ASA sailing school and sailboat charter company in the California Delta (1 hour from SF Bay) with classes offered in the Delta and in North San Francisco Bay.. We offer Basic Keelboat through Advanced Coastal Cruising. We also have 3 to 5 hour introductory sailing lessons/day trips and sailboat maintenance classes. All of our classes are semi-private with three students and one instructor on the boat. We find that this allows for a relaxed atmosphere and an excellent learning environment. We have sailing classes in the Delta during the spring and summer, and teach classes in the north SF bay in the fall and winter. The sailing conditions in the California Delta are similar to the San Francisco Bay with a little less wind and less current. There is deep water and the temperature is about 20 degrees warmer in the Delta than in the Bay. We are looking for a personable sailing instructor who is USCG licensed and minimum ASA Basic Keelboat Instructor certified. We are particularly interested in those sailing instructors who are comfortable sailing on the San Francisco Bay and Delta and are enthusiastic in sharing their love of sailing.
